Let’s shake things up today! And talk about a super fun, modern twist on classic broccoli salad.
Because this roasted broccoli salad with blueberries? It’s gonna rock your world!
Well, it’ll rock your world if you’re like me and give a big ol’ side eye to the traditional version of the dish.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve long avoided any sort of broccoli salad that is loaded up with gloppy goopy mayo. <— Ermmm, can you tell mayo isn’t really my thing?
Which brings us to today’s recipe – which is PACKED with plenty of flavor from delicious roasted broccoli (YESSSS), crunchy raw almonds, thinly sliced green onion and juicy fresh blueberries.
And it’s all tied together with a faaantastic maple mustard dressing that just really brings it all home.
It’s fresh, fun, crunchy, healthy, easy, gluten free, vegan!
And there’s no mayo in sight – zip, nada, zilch. Which makes it perfect for taking to a summer gathering. Or, just to make and keep in your fridge to pair with any number of warm weather dinners.
Tips & Tricks
- You can absolutely adjust this recipe to your taste. Perhaps you want to add more blueberries? Or more green onion or tweak the dressing slightly? It’s definitely quite customizable.
- Now this may be obvious, but I’m gonna say it anyway. This recipe is best when fresh blueberries are in season! If your blueberries are kind of meh, the recipe won’t be as delicious.
- And finally, this salad is great at room temperature – making it perfect for parties, especially since it won’t get all weird and gross sitting out. It’s also excellent just as a meal prep dish for yourself.
How To Store
Fridge: Transfer the salad to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

This would be perfect for my lunchbox, and I really like the sound of the dressing you have paired with it. I like mayo but on this kind of salad, something a lot lighter is far more my bag!
You had me at no mayo and things just kept getting better! 🙂 I love everything about this and would have trouble walking away from it!
Thanks Marcie!!
Definitely a great combo for me! I can’t get enough of roasted veggies, esp. broccoli and cauliflower. Love this Keto friendly salad!
Me either! Roasted veggies are just the best.
