Vanilla Mango Spinach Smoothie
Healthy and perfectly creamy, this vanilla mango spinach smoothie is the perfect way to start the day! With tropical flavors like mango and fresh ginger, you won’t even taste the spinach. Dairy free, gluten free and vegan.
Smoothie overload … or at least that’s what it seems like right now.
I know there are a bajillion (yes, bajillion) smoothie recipes floating around the internet at the moment but I’m ignoring that fact and sharing this one with you anyway.
Because we can always use another smoothie recipe. At least in my world we can.
I’ve been on the green smoothie bandwagon for a while now and have no intention of jumping off anytime soon. I also just like the color that it makes my smoothies and we all know that pretty colored foods are more fun to eat.
{Fact. Bears eat beets. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica → I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself. Favorite episode ever. I totally heart Jim and Dwight}
Moving along … this vanilla mango spinach smoothie.
You can’t taste the spinach and it’s really almost like a tropical vacation, with the mango and ginger. A little creamy, a little sweet and a hint of kick.
Perfect for after a workout or after eating too many cookies…
Or for sipping on while watching Jim and Dwight argue at work. Michael?! Michael! Okay, I really am stopping now.

I’ve never tried a green smoothie but the vanilla mango sounds really appealing to me!
I’m loving all the new smoothie recipes. Vanilla and mango sounds like an awesome combo to try. Glad you shared this!
Hey man, I can ALWAYS use another smoothie in my life, especially when there is secret good-for-me goodies inside! Oh and a tropical vacation sounds lovely what with this freaking polar vortex. >_<
Saw this on TheKitchn this morning! Congrats on the well-deserved shout-out – love this flavor combination!!
Thanks Jess!
I’ve been trying to avoid extra sugar in all store-bought smoothie blends and making sure I have breakfast in the morning so I’m definitely bookmarking this to add to my “make your own smoothie” rotation 🙂
I hope you enjoy it if you try it out!
Looks delicious! I just got a blender after quite a few years without. I’ll definitely be trying this out later in the week 🙂
I hope you enjoy it Ren if you give it a try!
You’re right, a person can never have too many smoothie recipes. Love the vanilla-mango combo!
Oh man! For the last three days I’ve been drinking green smoothies…suddenly got on this weird addiction of them. I’ve got everything here to try this, so I might have to make this tomorrow morning!!
You’ll have to let me know if you make it!
This looks so good for you and super healthy! I recently made a tropical green smoothie- and it tasted so good! Your recipe looks really delicious too! 🙂
I never get tired of seeing different smoothies! Although I have never put spinach in my smoothies, can you believe that?! Loving the combo of the vanilla, mango and spinach!
I know a lot of people are adding spinach and kale to their smoothies, but I’ve never tried that! And I’m kind of a healthy nut too (except when it comes to my desserts). The vanilla mango part sounds yummy too, so maybe I’ll try adding spinach next time.
The ginger and mango sound so good you almost have me convinced to ignore the fact that this smoothy is green. Hmmm. I eat green veggies but i don’t usually drink them. Maybe it comes from seeing and smelling green wheat grass shots at smoothie stores. Maybe its time to get over my green drink phobia….or i could just leave out the spinach 🙂
haha I thought it was weird when I first saw green smoothies but now I like them : ) And you really can’t even taste the spinach in here!
I could always use another green smoothie! Mango, vanilla AND spinach?? Sounds so yummy! I could do mango anything, anytime, and I know it added such a great flavour to the smoothie!
Also, the Office is the Best Show Ever! I have never watched any other show back to back so much!!
Same here – I love love love mango
Love green smoothies and this one sounds so good with all the mango and fresh ginger! No such thing as smoothie overload here especially after all the heavy holiday food we had. Yours is such a pretty color and looks so creamy and tasty and I’m craving one of these now hehe:) Happy Monday friend and hope you enjoy the rest of the week:)
Okay…I feel a tad guilty that while so many people are making healthy green smoothies, I’m having a homemade mocha frappucino almost every morning instead! I am definitely intrigued and I’m pretty sure I’d enjoy this one of yours. Ginger is awesome (as is mango!) and I like that this doesn’t have a million ingredients going on. Thanks for sharing. If I get the urge to make a healthful smoothie, this will be the first I try.
A homemade mocha frappucino sounds awesome!
I just recently started adding mango to my green smoothies in the morning and it has been SO good!!!
The office is the best!! I stopped drinking smoothies when it got super cold which means like three months without smoothies but as soon as January started I did the same thing – bring on the spinach! Love the vanilla in there, pinned!
I did the same thing – until the holiday sugar craze started and my body was craving all the spinach! haha
I’m loving all the smoothie recipes in the blogisphere right now! I never really make smoothies because my blender is AWFUL, but I just got a food processor, so that would probably work! This smoothie is such a pretty shade of green, and I could definitely go for something tropical right about now. 🙂
I’m still making smoothies for breakfast despite it being so cold here!! I just love them so much and this one is totally up my alley! I’m definitely a fan of lots of ginger in my smoothie too. It’s so delicious and so good for you!
This looks so good! Love all the flavors you have going on up in here. I’m totally not on the smoothie bandwagon yet, but am jumping on shortly. And I totally love the color of this smoothie! It’s gorgeous!
Side Note: My favorite The Office moment was the “parkour” scene. Hilarious! Asheley and I still recreate that scene on occasion, which normally ends in one of us getting hurt.
Ha! I love that one too. I definitely bust out office quotes far too often in my life… lol
This is totally what I need after all the sweets and richness during the holidays. I love the idea of using mango and ginger here. When I make green smoothies, I always use honey as a sweetener over sugar. Love this Ashley! Have a fantastic week lady! 🙂
Same here! I love honey in smoothies!
mango smoothies are my favorite! i usually make them w/ vanilla yogurt, spinach, mango, and banana… i’ll have to try your addition of ginger too 🙂
I am always ready for a new smoothie recipe. Especially because I need more healthy in my life right now. I love the color palette of these photos. The brown and the green together just look so soothing!!
I love a good smoothie! Love the mango and ginger combo!
Okay seriously Ashley?! All of my favorite things in one drink. This looks and sounds perfect! Hope you had a great weekend!
These smoothies look soooo good! Yum!
I’ve had smoothie variations floating around my head for a little while, so I’m into this…besides, I can use a tropical vacation! I’ve never added spinach before, but I need to give that a try to boost the nutrition content. 🙂 Your photos are gorgeous, too — I love the rustic look of that burlap scrap and those cute little straws. Happy Monday!
Mango and ginger, two of my favorite flavors! I would love this except for the fact that my blender died on me over the holidays and I have yet to replace it. I had a really cheap blender that lasted me almost 7 years so I’m not sure whether I should upgrade to a Vitamix/Blendtec or buy something cheaper. So, I have yet to buy anything, but I’m craving a smoothie more than ever!
Our blender is so old! But it’s still truckin’ along : ) Which amazes me since it’s not a really good one!
Oh mine…what a smoothie. Thinking about it makes me feel better already! Thanks 🙂 ela
This is exactly what I need for my 2nd breakfast!
